Víbrur Games — Privacy & Cookies

This website

Last updated — July 2026

This page has two parts: how our website handles your data (just below), and how our game handles your data (further down). In short, the website uses no cookies and no tracking.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking technologies. It stores nothing on your device and builds no profile of you. Because of that, there is no cookie consent banner — there is simply nothing to consent to.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). As with any web host, GitHub automatically processes limited technical data — such as your IP address and browser type — in order to deliver the pages and protect the service against abuse. This is handled by GitHub under its own privacy practices; we do not receive or store it.

Links to other sites

This site links out to external platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. When you follow those links, the destination site's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We have no control over how those services handle your data.

Our game (Better Together)

This part explains what personal data the game Better Together processes when you play, and why. We collect as little as possible.

Who we are

Better Together is developed by Víbrur Games, an independent studio based in Reykjavík, Iceland. For any question about your data, contact us at dromi@dromi.is.

What we collect and why

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we process this data to perform our agreement with you (to provide the game and its online features) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the game.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. The game relies on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf or as part of providing their services:

These providers may process data outside Iceland and the EEA; where they do, they rely on their own safeguards and privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep operational data only as long as needed to run multiplayer and to diagnose issues. Voice and text chat are not retained beyond your session, and imported music never leaves your device.

Your rights & contact

The points below apply to both the website and the game.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email dromi@dromi.is. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in Iceland, Persónuvernd — the Icelandic Data Protection Authority).

Children

The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this page

We may update this page as the website and the game develop. Material changes will be shown here with a new date at the top.
